You may already be aware that lead singer and banter-man, Steve Gilbert, had been admitted to Derriford Hospital for a week suffering from a serious case of double-pneumonia. He is now back home to start the log road to recovery but it will be at least 3-4 months before Steve will hopefully be able to perform.

It is with this in mind that the band have made the painful decision to cancel ALL performances for the rest of 2023. This includes the forthcoming Bal Maiden autumn concert tour. Anyone who has already purchased concert tickets can rest assured that their tickets will be carried over to new dates in 2024 which will be arranged in the next few weeks.

There are two exceptions to this;

2nd September – Heartlands, Redruth – a full refund to all ticket holders has been made.

21st September – St Ives Guildhall – contact St Ives September Festival for options

In addition the following events have also been affected;

29th March – Week St Mary Church – new date to follow

20th October -Landulph Festival – contact Landulph Festival for amended programme

24th November – Griggs Restaurant – contact Friends of Royal Cornwall Hospital

25th November – Porthtowan Village Hall – new date to follow

3rd December – Cobweb Inn, Boscastle – new date to follow
