The Bob Johns Memorial Concert

We are delighted to announce a special memorial concert to honour our good friend Bob Johns who succumbed to cancer almost exactly a year ago. Bob Johns MBE will be remembered by most as a determined fundraiser for his charity, The Robert Johns Leukaemia Fund, in memory of his son who was taken early by the disease. Over the years, Bob managed to raise of £250,000 for the charity and one of his most successful fundraisers was an annual concert which in later years featured The Countrymen along with Twin Harmony and the adorable Johnny Cowling.

The last concert date, Sunday 29th March 2020, was postponed due to lockdown and after Bobs passing, it wasn’t certain that a new date would be secured………………………until now!

Following discussions between The Countrymen, Twin Harmony and Johnny Cowling, we have all decided to put on a final memorial concert at Launceston Town Hall in January next year.
