There’s a particular weekend in June that we always look forward to. The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. Three days and nights of singing around numerous venues around Falmouth along with 80+ other groups, all washed down with copious amounts of cider!
Now, it won’t go unnoticed that The Countrymen are not a shanty band and we thought we ought to adopt one of our own. So we borrowed a song from Chris Morris and Dave Freeman who had written a shanty-esque song about Padstow and relocated it to the South coast.
