Penlee Lifeboat Disaster family memorial dedication includes Lights of Mousehole

Last Saturday afternoon, there was a dedication ceremony for a granite memorial on the cliffs near Lamorna to commemorate the lives lost on both the lifeboat Solomon Browne and the Union Star just over 40 years ago . It was known as The Penlee Lifeboat Disaster. Our song, Lights of Mousehole, was played as part of the ceremony and songwriter and bassist, Simon Wrench went down to represent the band. “To be part of such an emotional occasion was truly humbling” said Simon. The dedication featured the current Penlee Lifeboat standing offshore and a fly past by HM Coastguard. It was shown on BBC Spotlight that evening and will also feature on Countryfile. It’s not something Simon will forget any time soon.
