The highlights of the weekend however was hearing the Countrymen. They are amazing and blew me away. The harmonies and timing were spot on and I have just got to have their CD.
Absolutely love this band. Saw them for the first time at the St Agnes Lifeboat celebration in June and was blown away by the musicianship and beautiful harmonies. At times they were very exclusive and original and at other times derivative but still brilliant. They reminded me at times of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and I would love to see them attempt “Teach Your Children” but their take on some traditional Cornish songs was uplifting and poignant at the same time. A wonderful night’s entertainment. I very much look forward to seeing them again (and again). Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Just by luck came across The Countrymen at Falmouth Sea Shanty. Made my weekend. Listened to two performances, bought the CD but not the T-shirt (haha)
We just saw these guys at The Royal Cornwall Show and they were amazing. Beautiful harmonies and funny at the same time. A wide variety of music. Looking forward to the first album
Thoroughly enjoyed one of your performances at Royal Cornwall second day! Looking forward to getting your CD soon and maybe catching another of your shows
Brilliant band, so glad we caught you at Lostfest today….. And that’s from someone who was born in England!
Great music at The Prince of Wales you guys. We shall follow you over this weekend at Falmouth (Sea Shanty Festival) xx
The band did a proper job at Lostfest today. The songs were rousing and the harmonies were great. Looking forward to seeing them again
Excellent songs about Cornish heritage. Amusing and talented.
Had the pleasure of listening to these amazing guys at Redruth Murdoch Day yesterday.. Absolutely brilliant. We sat through two separate performances, equally as good as each other. PS. if you read this I was the one at the back that put my hand up when the lead singer asked if he was perfect!! Lol.

Highly recommend making the effort to listen to them. A great night for a 60th birthday. A great mix of close harmony, Cornish tales and classic hits from ELO to The Eagles.
Heard you for the first time last night, we were awestruck by the sound you made. A very different twist on some Cornish classics..!
