Tregarthen’s Anthem (M. O’Connor)

Parson Hawker
Reverend Robert Stephen Hawker 1864

A cheery song that pays homage to the Reverend Hawker of Morwenstow, the author of the Cornish “national” anthem, Trelawny.

It is also a reference to the historic industries of Cornwall – those of mining, fishing and farming.

The final verse was penned by Steve Cooksey to lengthen the song and pays tribute to our brave men and women of the RNLI around the Cornish coast.
